State of the Union

Dear tiny baby infant Jesus in your radiant swaddling clothes,
And thank you for getting us out of Athens Georgia, where we had been sorely beset with devils & various travails & temptations, as well as the pulchritudinous snares of the daughters of Eve, and for settling us down in the benign embrace of Austin Texas, where I fervently pray the Low Lows will take root & blossom like unto the Rose of Sharon of which the psalmist sings.
We're grateful, further, that your beneficent power revealed itself recently through the advent of Misra Records in our life, & for their praiseworthy intention to champion us in North America in coming seasons, augmenting the efforts of the mighty European fortress of righteousness that is Monotreme Records. We pray that these two, like glorious beacons, will light the way for our newest release, Shining Violence, scheduled for March release overseas and very soon thereafter in Your home on earth, America.
We ask that you watch over us in our coming travels & ordeals, beginning with the South By Southwest Festival a scant month away, where we will play at the Limewire showcase on March 10th and the Misra showcase on March 12th, as well as at various parties & functions. While in attendance at these we ask your benevolent guardianship of our health & well-being as we amuse ourselves with purity of intention and, where possible, deed, as well as for divine forgiveness of whatever sins either venial or mortal we might be compelled to commit through no fault of our own & due solely to the wiles & machinations of the great adversary.
Thank you for bringing Abram Shook & Mikey Dwyer into the fold, even though of course you cruelly ripped Page Campbell & Eva Hannan from our bosom in the process. Which hardly seems fair. Perhaps I'll go gay. Then it'd be alright I guess.

way to the heathenish principalities of France, Luxembourg, Germany,
Spain, Italy & Amsterdam in April & May of this year, and save
our driver Matt Shrimpton from all Temptation, and bring us safely home
to the United States of Glory.
